 PE and Sports Premium

What is the PE and Sport Premium?

The PE and Sports Premium is funding allocated to schools to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils. In addition, in the academic years 2014 to 2017, the funding is to give primary-aged pupils the opportunity to develop a healthy lifestyle.

How can the PE and Sport Premium be spent?

The premium must be spent by maintained schools and academies on improving the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils to give them the opportunity to develop a healthy lifestyle.

How has the PE and Sport Premium been spent and what was the impact?

All schools must report how the Sports Premium funding has been spent. Below are our reports and planned expenditure for the current academic year.

In order to sustain improvements, new members of staff benefit from training from a Sports Coach and there is an ongoing commitment to providing clubs before and after school to promote fitness and health to all children. There has been a consistent uptake of clubs and members of staff and the Sports Coach vary clubs to respond to children's interests and requests. School is also an active participant in local competitive and non-competitive sports activities with other schools across Calderdale.
