Our School Council is made up of representatives from each class throughout school; it is the ‘pupils’ voice’.
Every week, we meet to discuss different ways to make our school a better place for everybody. For example, over the last few years we have raised money for a local park, advised on playground development and equipment and put forward ideas for the Jubilee celebrations. Recently, we have worked on developing playground rules.
Each term, we help out at Coffee Mornings, talking to parents and carers about what we’re doing in school. We also make a speech at New Entrants Evening.
In addition, we organise and run charity events in school. Examples include raising money for Children in Need, Macmillan, the Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal and Comic Relief.
Everyone is important in school. It’s great to have a say!
